Its core argument is that the distinctive nature of fiqh, as a specific type of law making, consists of the delivery of verdicts.<br>To support this theory, the article preliminarily focuses on the tenets of Muslim cosmology\/legal theology (the \u2018religion of fiqh\u2019), where the real (\u1e25aqq) is conceived as the immediate result of God\u2019s decree\/decision (\u1e25ukm). Within this semantic universe, if the pre-scribed rule (\u1e25ukm) has been revealed through \u0160ar\u012b\u2018ah in its transcendental dimension, its human understanding (the \u2018law of fiqh\u2019) necessarily proceeds by means of verdicts (from late Latin vere dictum, \u2018to say, to report, to make explicit the truth\/real\u2019 of \u0160ar\u012b\u2018ah) in order to de-scribe the right (again, \u1e25aqq) in its empirical\/worldly manifestations.
