Infatti colui che \u00e8 \u201cdiverso\u201d e non si inquadra all\u2019interno di una data cultura<br>viene visto con sospetto ed escluso dal tessuto sociale. La paura costringe quindi lo studioso a<br>ricercare strumenti per affrontarla sotto diversi profili: psicologico, semiotico e giuridico. In<br>particolare in quest\u2019ultimo campo c\u2019\u00e8 da chiedersi se il principio generale di laicit\u00e0 tipico delle<br>democrazie occidentali abbia esaurito il suo compito o possa essere ancora considerato un valido<br>strumento per il governo delle differenze. In questo panorama si pone anche la musica. Quest\u2019ultima<br>rappresenta un elemento simbolico colpito negli attacchi terroristici. Essa tuttavia \u00e8 anche un potente<br>mezzo di unificazione e creazione di nuovi significati, sia in ambito statale che confessionale.
