This paper presents the results of a concise investigation of remedies available for breach of contract, making use of the Economic Analysis of Law (EAL). An exemplar is also provided of EAL’s functional potentialities as a research tool for intercultural law. The prevalence of multiculturalism in today’s global social-economic experience finds legal operators in the position of having to interpret the constant transformations of the contemporary world, if they are to accurately meet the needs of their clients. Meanwhile, these clients must navigate the often confusing legal and geographical boundaries of domestic law as they attempt to manage their personal and economic activities. An EAL approach does not offer all the answers; but it helps to raise the questions that really matter.
