In this essay, I attempt to build a bridge between Greco’s theoretical approach to trust and, respectively, the related remarks propounded in this journal by Ricca and the methodological discourse developed in a recent book by Ciaramelli. I will evaluate each of the cited contributions analytically to bring to the fore the passages that seem to me to be most significant. As a result of the above reconstructive path, I will proffer proposals on the relationship between trust and method in law, with particular attention to the ‘affective turn’ in legal cognition.
