The philosophy of intercultural law presents itself as a necessary instrument of enquiry that enables the jurist to navigate the open sea of law and life. The proposed contribution aims at focusing on the relationship extant between philosophy, law and interculture, emphasising some philosophical-legal issues and dimensions such as translation, language, foreignness, migration, citizenship. The main purpose is to draw the coordinate for a society open to intercultural dialogue, in which the subject considers the other, the different, the ‘foreigner’ not as a threat, but rather as a ‘resource’. To this end, I believe it is useful to begin the investigation by following the thinking of François Jullien, Paul Ricoeur, and others, in order in order to gain a preliminary understanding of the structures that characterize human beings in their relational and human aspects.
